SATURDAY WE WERE IN BARCELONA. WE SAW THIS BUILDING, MUCH LIKE A CATHEDRAL, BEGUN BY GAUDI IN 1882. AS YOU CAN SEE IT IS STILL BEING BUILT WITH AN ESTMATED ONE HUNDRED MORE YEARS TO COMPLETE! IT IS THE MOST VISITED BUILDING IN SPAIN BY TOURISTS. THERE WERE MANY TOURIST BUSSES THERE WHILE WE WERE THERE. SOME PEOPLE THINK IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND OTHERS THINK IT IS A MONSTROCITY. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

What is the purpose of such a building?
It is a "worship place" not quite as sacred as a cathedral. Gaudi who started it was eccentric artist, in most opinions, who has interesting creations in other parts of Barcelona.
