I HAD JUST RECEIVED THIS NEW MALL CHAINSAW IN 1955 IN HOLIKACHUK ALASKA. IT WAS HEAVY (30 LBS) AND MORE DIFFICULT TO HANDLE THAN THE MODERN ONES OF TODAY, I WAS THRILLED TO HAVE IT! THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN IN OUR ATTIC AREA WHERE WE STORED ALL OUR STUFF, INCLUDING OUR WINTER'S FOOD SUPPLY.

I can picture my brothers sharpening ours and taking out the spark plug. I miss the sound and smell of a chainsaw.
