Firecrackers were exploding loudly even after mid-night last night. Today is the "Fourth of July"! This flag outside our house sparked thoughts of our great country. We know it's not perfect...but it certainly beats anywhere else. The freedom that we have is emphasized by comparison to Zimbabwe, Sudan, North Korea, and so many places in the world. Freedom of speech(even on a blog like this) freedom of religion, freedom to bear arms so recently confirmed by our Supreme Court, are just small examples of why I am glad to be an American!
