I just took a 2 mile walk on this last day of July. Wildflowers grow profusely along parts of the trail. I don't know the names of them all. However, the close-up is of a fireweed. The old-timers will tell you that when the fireweed blossoms out all the way to the top, expect the first frost of autumn. It looks like it has a ways to go!
