This Sunday afternoon the start of the Iditarod Rave from Willow to Nome (1100 miles)drew thousands of people along the trial at lakes and rivers. It was a beautiful day as 96 racers with their 16 dogs began this grueling journey. We picniked along the trail for about 4 hours enjoying the excitement, watching these famous dog mushers from Alaska, the Lower 48, Germany, France, and Norway.
